Adnan Addoum occupies the highest position of Lebanon's Judiciary System, his mission is to crush the Christian opposition, and humiliate anyone one who dares to question the Syrian presence in Lebanon. His position guarantees Syria's hegemony over Lebanon and its political system in general.

According to the Lebanese Army bureau of information, Addoum was a conspirator from the beginning, he was an agent for the Palestinians, and the Fatah movement of Yasser Arafat, in which he gave information regarding the Lebanese Army, and the Internal Security in exchange for a huge sum of money from the PLO organization, he was also involved in the smuggling of arms to the Palestinian camps regularly.
In 1995, the puppet regime of Elias Harrawi appointed Addoum as the Attorney General of Lebanon through direct orders of Ghazi Kenaan the thug of Syria in Lebanon, after Judge Ahmad Almualem was supposed to occupy the position, but the thug Ghazi Kennann forced his will on the puppet government, as he had done in many other occasions through fear and intimidation.
Addoum gets his orders directly from the new head of the Syrian intelligence in Lebanon Lt. General Roustom Gazelleh, no Lebanese public official can question his command or his authority in Lebanon.
Addoum was appointed to fulfill 3 wishes for the Syrians in Lebanon.
In 1999, Judge Walid Ghumrah released a report stating all misconducts by Addoum across the whole Judiciary system, however such a report was claimed by Syrian conspirators, and has disappeared from the seen.
Addoums personnel wealth comes to about 6 million dollars, as a result of special briberies and favoritisms. He uses different Aliases to hide his wealth from any investigations.
Mr. Addoum's Father is not even a Lebanese citizen, he was issued a Lebanese citizenship by the Hariri government in 1993 through pressure from Ghazi Kenaan. Syria forced its will on Lebanon through killing and assassination of national leaders and elected presidents, it has infiltrated every government bureau through its 25,000 secret agents, their mission is to crush any move by any Lebanese who dares to speak against them in any shape or form.

Allow me to give a brief history of General Kanaan and his atrocities, against Lebanon and the Lebanese people as a whole. General Kanaan is the true power maker in Lebanon; nothing gets done without his approval, even the Lebanese President has to get his ok before making any decisions.
Kanaan, aged 58, was born to a Alawite family near Kerdaha town of the late President Hafez Al-assad in the mountains overlooking the seaport city of Latakia. Kanaan is not related to Hafez Assad at all, but the two families have had a history of ties for a long time in Syria.
Kanaan is credited for slowly tightening Syria's grip over the Lebanese government starting from 1980 by cultivating alliances with certain militia groups in Lebanon. In 1983, Kanaan ordered his militia allies to torpedo the May 17th agreement between Israel and Lebanon brokered by former U.S. Secretary of State Mr. George Shultz. Kenaan went as far as Masterminding the Feb 6th mutiny in West Beirut which led to the breakdown of the Lebanese central government and the withdrawal of the multinational peacekeeping forces, including the U.S. Marines from Lebanon.
Kanaan's most significant achievements happened during 1980 through his cunning tactics in luring collaborators within the predominantly Christian Lebanese Forces. This process began in 1985 with the defection of LF Commander Elie Hobeika who was directly responsible for the Palestinian massacre of Sabra and Shatila camps in Beirut.
After ousting the only constitutional government of interim Prime Minister General Michel Aoun in Oct of 1990, Kanaan took complete control of the Lebanese political system. Since then, Kenaan has literally become the " King Maker " of Lebanon from the election of the president to installing the Parliamentary deputies one by one, it is all subject to his official approval.
In Oct of 1995, just weeks before the expiration of Lebanese President Elias Hrawi's term in office, Kenaan attended a party hosted by former Prime Minister Omar Karami and announced to the numerous MPs present that they were to amend article 49 of the Lebanese constitution and extend Hrawi's tenure for three more years. Such demand goes against the Lebanese constitution and practices of the government, but Mr. Kanaan forced his will on the MPs by fear as he had done before. Kanaan went as far as altering the Lebanese election law in person, which strongly preordains the election of Pro-Syrian candidates in Lebanon's Parliamentary election last August.
Kanaan's powers in Lebanon extend beyond the political system due to the extensive network of Syrian intelligence which exceeded 25,000 officers directly under his command, nothing happens in Lebanon without his prior knowledge. The commander of Lebanon's General Security Directorate, Major General Jamil El-Sayyed reports directly to Kenaan, often bypasses the civilian leadership of the Lebanese regime, since Kanaan has the power to order the arrest of any Lebanese and without any cause for indefinite detention and torture. He is the most feared man in Lebanon today. One Lebanese who spoke to Human rights watch recalled being arrested by Syrian intelligence in 1993, tortured and brought directly before Kanaan and pressured to collaborate.
Kenaan has used his influence for personal gain as well. His involvement in narcotics production and trafficking in the Bekaa Valley, counterfeiting and other illegal activities have made him a very wealthy man. With the shadow of Syrian power lurking behind him, few in Lebanon are willing to stand up to him in dispute. One did, his name is Yahya Shamas, a former member of Parliament and a long term associates of Kanaan's who made a mistake of buying a piece of property from him, and when he refused to sell it back after its price went up, he was jailed on drug trafficking in 1994 and imprisoned for no reason. No one dares to challenge him on the false charges against the former MP.
Honorable readers, it is my intention to open your eyes on what has taken place in Lebanon, and the amount of suffering and agony the Lebanese people are enduring as a result of this man. He is responsible for a lot of suffering and torture of innocent Lebanese still detained in Syria today for no reason at all. It is our hope that you take a stand against vicious monsters such as Mr. Ghazi Kanaan and charge him with war crime against Lebanon and its people; it is our hope that you take a stand and help innocent people against tyrants like Ghazi Kanaan wherever they are. Hundreds of innocent civilians have lost their lives because of him. Please charge this man with war crime and have him stand trial before the whole world as you did with Mr. Moloshovitch, there should not be any difference between the two, murder is murder no matter who does it, killing and torturing innocent civilians for personal gain cannot be tolerated, and should not go unpunished.

I assume that you are aware of the massive Syrian secretive grave sites unveiled lately, especially in the vicinity of Syrian notorious jails and detention centers. As was announced by the Syrian journalist and human rights advocate, Nizzar Nayyouf, more than 1500 Lebanese detainees have been buried at the "Tadmor Prison" massive gravesite, among other 17.000 Syrians, Jordanians and Palestinian victims. These innocent victims died in the Syrian jails under torture and because of horrible medical, hygenic and sanitary conditions. Apparently not even the new Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad has the nerve to admit such atrocities inflicted by his regime's secret police. He alleged from Paris lately that there are no more Lebanese prisoners in Syria. In fact what he meant that no more Lebanese prisoners are alive in Syria, he just could not express himself well.
The information Mr. Nayyouf had exposed about the mass Syrian gravesites is in fact not new. Human Rights Organizations, victims' families and Syrian public knew about the existence of these graves for at least 10 years. It is such a shame that the world community had allowed a tyrant like the late Hafez Assad to be in power in first place.Please take note that prisoners held inside the notorious Syrian jails, including Tadmor prison are given different names and at times only numbers. They are instructed to forget their Lebanese names or go back into the torture chamber. Many families have seen frequently their loved ones (during the visits) with horrible physical and mental inflicted conditions. Prisoners are instructed to refrain from telling their families anything about the torture they are exposed to. The families cannot help, but notice the evidence of torture from broken teeth, burned spots, fractured bones, bruises, cuts, etc.
Detainees' families and human rights organizations have been trying for the last 11 years to make the Beirut puppet authorities take responsibility for the fate of hundreds of Lebanese innocent citizens held arbitrarily in the Syrian jails. Unfortunately, all their efforts went in vain, fell on deaf ears and did not reach anywhere. In this sad moment of the Lebanese history, I ask all of you to remember the thousands of innocent Lebanese citizens who gave their lives under horrible Syrian torture. I call on you to join forces with the victims' families and human rights organizations in their ongoing efforts to put an end to this human dilemma.I urge every one of you to pressure the Syrian regimes to release all the Lebanese detainees who are still alive and to expose the fate of those died. No one should give up and get discouraged, the journey of freedom is long and hard.
It is such a shame that the Arab league had allowed one of its members, the Syrian regime to get away with such murders. 1500 hundred Lebanese may not be a large number for the Syrian officials, but rest assured that the souls of these victims are going to hunt them until eternity.The Syrian regime should be held personally accountable for all the murders they inflicted on our people for the last 25 years, especially the thousands of innocent citizens they killed in their notorious detention centers and jails.
